The Cards — A World in 78 Pieces

  • 78 tarot-sized cards (2.75" x 4.75")
  • Metallic dark forest green gilded edges
  • Rose gold foil accents
  • Identical card backs featuring a custom marbled design created using traditional Ebru marbling techniques
  • Numbered 00–77 for guidebook reference

When assembled, the cards create one immersive world — a sweeping map viewed from above, rich with pathways symbolizing growth, divergence, reconnection, and transformation.

Each card contains at least one path. Some fork. Some relink. Some end abruptly. Most meander. The wandering paths invite discovery — reminding us that transformation rarely travels in straight lines.

The Guidebook — Lore & Interpretation

  • 108-page, full-color hardcover
  • Fabric-bound with marbled cloth wrap
  • Foil-stamped compass on the cover

Inside you’ll find:

  • A 25-page introduction
  • 5 original spreads
  • Notes on numerology and tarot correspondences
  • Guidance on interpreting symbolic pathways
  • A dedicated page for each card featuring keywords, numerology, lore, and interpretive notes

The lore is written from the perspective of a traveler documenting a land long after great events reshaped it — gathering fragments of history and meaning along the way.

The Box — Opening the Gate

Designed to evoke stepping through a doorway into another realm:

  • Magnetic closure
  • Foil compass accent
  • Sturdy presentation-style construction

The experience begins the moment you lift the lid — like opening a gate to another world.

Creator & Artistic Vision — James R. Eads

James R. Eads (b. 1989, Los Angeles) is an artist whose work moves fluidly between fine art, music culture, immersive technology, and divination.

After studying printmaking, painting, and graphic design in New York, James returned to Los Angeles and began creating gig posters for artists such as Phish, Dave Matthews Band, Foo Fighters, and Jerry Garcia, along with major festivals including Bonnaroo and Outside Lands. His distinctive, dreamlike style quickly gained recognition.

In 2013, he created his first tarot deck — a turning point that led to the founding of Prisma Visions and the creation of nearly a dozen visionary tarot and oracle decks beloved by collectors worldwide.

Across mediums, his work carries a post-impressionistic, otherworldly quality — often feeling like maps to unseen dimensions. The Oracle of Many Paths, developed over more than three years, reflects his fascination with nonlinear storytelling, open-world exploration, and the infinite branching of possibility.

Today, James runs an art studio in downtown Los Angeles, home to Prisma Visions and a hub for ongoing creative exploration.

At TarotArts, we are honored to feature and support artists like James who continue to expand the visual and imaginative language of tarot and oracle.
