Built on the traditional 78-card tarot structure and expanded with an additional card, The Key to the Mirage, this extraordinary set invites readers into a dreamlike world of image, archetype, astrology, and sensual memory.

Limited to only 100 copies, each set is made in Portland, Oregon, hand perfumed with the signature Oceanic Flora scent, and finished with gold leaf details.

What Is Visual Perfumery?

Visual Perfumery is an imagined art form created by artist, tarot practitioner, and astrologer Danielle Delceppo.

Inspired by the way a perfumer blends notes into a fragrance, Visual Perfumery composes images as layers of memory, emotion, color, symbolism, and feeling. Rather than communicating through a single symbol or illustration, each card functions as a visual accord—an arrangement of images designed to unfold gradually in consciousness.

Like perfume unfolding across time, these compositions reveal themselves slowly, speaking directly to intuition and the subconscious mind.

The result is a tarot experience that feels immersive, atmospheric, and deeply personal—inviting readers to engage not only with the symbolism of the cards, but with the emotional and sensory landscapes they evoke.

The Key to the Mirage

In addition to the traditional 78-card tarot structure, Perfume for the Eyes includes a unique 79th card: The Key to the Mirage.

This card does not belong to the Major or Minor Arcana, but is offered as an addition to both. Danielle recommends setting it aside and shuffling it into the deck intuitively, when it feels called for in a reading.

The Key to the Mirage holds the energy of eight planets: Venus, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto. The Sun and Moon are intentionally omitted. In the language of the deck, mirages are created by the bending of light—this card is not the Mirage itself, but the key that opens the way toward it.

About the Creator

Danielle Delceppo is an artist, astrologer, tarot reader, and the creator of Visual Perfumery. Her work explores the intersection of archetype, memory, beauty, and spiritual practice.

A lifelong student of tarot and astrology, Danielle has spent more than twenty-five years studying and working with symbolic systems while developing a distinct visual language that merges fine art, dream imagery, and personal mythology.

The seeds of Perfume for the Eyes were planted in 2017 while Danielle was exploring the intersection of creativity and spirituality through tarot and astrology. What began as an artistic experiment evolved into a years-long journey of creative exploration, shadow work, and personal transformation.

The result is a deeply personal deck that bridges memoir, archetype, dreamwork, and visual art—inviting readers to discover their own stories through the language of image, symbol, scent, and intuition.
