Every card in OH MY HEART began as an original painting created by Marion Costentin in her studio, using traditional materials and a hands-on process rooted in intuition, vulnerability, and personal experience.

Her work belongs to a poetic tradition of figurative painting in which the outer world and inner experience seem to mingle. Human figures share dreamlike spaces with animals, flowers, water, stars, and other elements of the natural world; scale and setting give way to a more emotional logic. These familiar forms become part of a symbolic language for experiences that can be difficult to express directly—longing, vulnerability, protection, loss, connection, and renewal.

There is beauty in these paintings, but also strangeness and melancholy. Tender and sometimes unsettling, they give visible form to an interior world, allowing the emotional life of OH MY HEART to unfold through the artwork itself.

A Companion Book for the Heart

The accompanying book is an integral part of the deck. Written from Marion's own experience of moving through loss, its entries are less concerned with defining what each card means than with opening a place for reflection.

Each card is accompanied by writing intended to help you stay with whatever the image brings forward. Grief, loneliness, change, intuition, love, and renewal are approached with unusual tenderness, while leaving room for your own memories and meanings to emerge.

The book can be read alongside a card pull or used more slowly for journaling, meditation, and personal reflection. Like the deck itself, it does not offer a formula for fixing what hurts. Instead, it encourages a relationship with the heart as a source of consciousness, compassion, and inner knowing.

Reading with OH MY HEART

OH MY HEART can be approached without any previous experience with oracle cards. Draw a single card and allow the image to meet you where you are, without feeling that you need to interpret it immediately. The deck is especially suited to moments when something feels heavy, uncertain, or difficult to put into words.

It can be used for a daily card, journaling or meditation, during periods of grief or transition, or alongside tarot and other reflective practices. Over time, the cards can become a way of noticing what is changing beneath the surface and listening more closely to your own emotional and intuitive responses.

There is no requirement to arrive at an answer. Sometimes the value of a card is simply in giving something unnamed a place to be seen.

About the Creator

Marion Costentin is the artist and creator behind Little Darkness. Her work explores the emotional and symbolic spaces where beauty, vulnerability, intuition, and the darker passages of human experience meet.

OH MY HEART grew from Marion's own journey through grief and the creative practice that accompanied it. Painting and writing became ways of approaching difficult experiences, searching for meaning, and reconnecting with an inner voice. Every card in the deck began as an original painting, with the companion book extending that same deeply personal process into words.

While rooted in Marion's experience, OH MY HEART is intentionally left open for others to find their own stories within its imagery—an invitation to meet the heart in all its tenderness, complexity, and resilience.
