Design & inspiration

The design of ENIGMA draws inspiration from vintage game boards and printed ephemera of the 1940s—an era when games carried secret meanings, symbols, and stories woven into their design. This nostalgic aesthetic blends familiarity with mystery, creating an experience that feels timeless yet alive. Every element, from typography to layout, was carefully crafted to evoke the atmosphere of coded language and hidden systems. The deck also doubles as a small-scale game, inspired by classic forms like Bingo and Lotería. This playful, ritualistic layer invites experimentation—whether used as a divination tool, an artistic meditation, or a shared experience among friends. Flexible, mysterious, and endlessly adaptable, ENIGMA is designed to move fluidly between worlds: a bridge between play and prophecy, logic and intuition, symbol and story.

Creator

Daniel Martin Diaz is a visionary artist whose work bridges the boundaries between mysticism, science, and sacred art. With ENIGMA, Diaz continues his exploration of how symbols reveal the architecture of consciousness. His art has been exhibited internationally and featured in publications including Juxtapoz, Hi-Fructose, and Beautiful Bizarre. Known for his intricate hand-drawn imagery and spiritual symbolism, Diaz creates works that encourage reflection and awareness through visual storytelling. ENIGMA stands as both oracle and artwork—a portal into the mystery of the self and the symbolic codes that shape our lives.
