About Dang Olsen


Dang Olsen is a self-taught artist originally from Toledo, Ohio, whose work blends surreal imagery with bold color and a playful, dreamlike sensibility.

Working primarily in ink and watercolor, he creates richly layered compositions designed to feel immersive and visceral—what he describes as making the paper “breathe.” His influences range from underground comics and fantasy illustration to the imagery of dreams and psychedelic experience.

The Dream Tarot emerged from years of personal exploration, including meditation, dreamwork, and altered states of consciousness. What began as a creative project became a deeper study—resulting in a deck that is both visually striking and philosophically grounded.
