About the Artist – Elisabetta Trevisan
Elisabetta Trevisan was born in 1957 in Merano, a northern Italian town near the Austrian border. She studied at the art school of Padua and grew up surrounded by creativity—her father was a well-known illustrator and cartoonist. Now based in Treviso, Trevisan has devoted her life to painting and to the refined, expressive use of color that defines her signature style.
Working primarily on Medium Density panels, she blends gouache, pastel, and watercolor to create richly textured works that feel both delicate and vibrant. Beyond painting, she has explored a wide range of artistic disciplines—including decoration on baked clay, glass, wood, murals, fabric, and self-made papier-mâché objects.
- Her artistic career also includes:
- Illustrating for magazines
- Creating the ecology-themed children’s book in collaboration with Ente Parco Fiume Sile
- Designing settings for animated television films
This deep artistic versatility informs the Crystal Tarot, giving it both fine-art sophistication and imaginative storytelling power.
