Deck Structure

The 47 cards are organized into four interconnected sections that reflect the spiritual architecture of the Mayan cosmovision:

The Nawales
The sacred day energies of the Chol Q’ij calendar, represented through animals, natural forces, and archetypal powers such as Crocodile, Jaguar, Deer, Storm, and Sun.

The Deities
Cards devoted to important Mayan spiritual figures including Ixchel, Q’uq’umatz (the Feathered Serpent), Chaac, and the Hero Twins.

Notable Aspects
Sacred cultural and ceremonial symbols including cacao, jade, copal, obsidian, hummingbird, ceiba, and quetzal.

The 13 Sacred Numbers
The thirteen energetic numbers that combine with the Nawales to form the sacred calendar cycle and shape the spiritual “tone” of each day.

How to Work With This Deck

The Mayan Oracle may be used for daily guidance, intuitive readings, ceremonial reflection, or as a companion to the sacred rhythms of the Chol Q’ij Mayan calendar. Draw a single card to connect with the energy of the day, explore larger spreads for deeper insight, or work with the sacred numbers and Nawales to better understand the spiritual currents surrounding a situation or life path.

The guidebook encourages readers to approach the deck with gratitude, intention, and openness—allowing the cards to serve as a bridge between personal intuition, ancestral wisdom, and the living energies of nature and spirit. Over time, the deck becomes a trusted source of reflection, guidance, and spiritual alignment that can be returned to again and again.
