The artwork in this deck is beautiful, it has an overall masculine energy, it's dark, Gothic, and even Gloomy if I might say, reading takes a very serious turn with it. The most remarkable aspect of this deck is the masterful use of grey scales with perfect lighting effects, the way the illustrators use lighting to highlight the scenes is so masterful, the backgrounds are foggy and dark, is hard to tell the silhouettes in the back, are they there? is it all a dream? and that is the point, the art makes it look like you are picking into a dark dream.
This is probably the best packaging I have ever seen from Le Scarabeo, a big sturdy box with magnetic closure, very beautiful.
The book is good, it doesn't have any accents on the cover, but its full color inside, which I love because you can see a bigger image of each card in its description, it was interesting to me how they just briefly mentioned the artist and the illustrator, no fancy introduction or explanation of how the concept came to be, or any biographic info about the team at all, more like credits on a regular team assignment at le Scarabeo company, which surprises me, given the art and the illustrations here are quite remarkable! beautiful job.
