It is grounding, stabilizing and encourages strength and balance. The ancient Egyptians used Cedarwood essential oil in death rituals as well as for cosmetics and perfumery. They say it arose from the god Osiris as the symbol of eternal return and when used with the proper formula contained magical powers. Native Americans used Cedar extensively for purification rituals. Cautions: Avoid during pregnancy. Diluting with a carrier oil for skin application is recommended.
