Tarocco Piedmontese 22 Major Arcana from Il Meneghello

This Tarocco Piemontese deck is a limited edition Il Meneghello replica of a late 19th century Tarot from the Piedmont region of Italy. Il Meneghello reproduced the 22 cards in this deck with with historical accuracy following the original set originally published by Strambo di Fabrica of Varallo in the late 1800's. The fine reproductions carry markings, stains & flaws found on the original cards.  The stencil coloring of the original deck was created in a lovely primary palette of red, yellow & purplish dark blue, with an additional pink & sea green. Some color blending creates brown or brick red. Coloring appears overprinted on top of the woodblock black line art.  Printed on high-quality Italian stock and packaged in a two-part telescoping box, with the star card affixed to the cover and the famous Il Meneghello wax seal. This edition from 2022 is limited to 600 decks. Each deck has a title card with a hand-written edition number. The decks are sealed and the edition number will be revealed when opening the box.  Card Dimensions approximately 2 1/2" x 4 1/2"
