It was a gift to a dear friend and he loved them..

It would look like this! Not quite as “dark” as the name implies, this deck is illustrated circa Victorian area, with a “Sleepy Hollow” vibe. Card stock is not as silky and velvety smooth as the Blue back edition, but they stand up to quite a bit of handling. The gold edges can take a good workout. I riffle shuffle and side sort till the cards ‘jump’ from the deck, so while there are some work wear ‘lost’ flakes on the sides, they have held up quite well. I’ve had this deck for about 8 months and has become (one of) my favorites and my daily go to. The overall condition of them are well-loved. If you’re sitting on the fence about these, go for it! They bond pretty quickly and are spot on; they may look animated and fun, but Willy Wonka they are not. They’ll bring you the truth, with a quirky twist. The box itself side opens like a book, feels smooth, and holds up well.
