Fabiana Belmonte

Fabiana Belmonte (b. 1980, Potenza, Italy) is a self-taught illustrator and digital artist whose surreal creations explore the mysterious terrain of the human psyche. Drawing on her background in painting and photography, Belmonte’s work blurs the lines between dream and reality, often portraying human figures in intimate dialogue with their internal and external worlds.

Her digital illustrations—what she calls “Unusual Worlds”—are crafted primarily in Photoshop. While she uses MidJourney to generate source material, each final piece is a meticulously constructed digital collage, composed and brought to life by her own hand. These layered works often reflect a deeply anthropocentric vision, evoking states of unconscious emotion, transformation, and inner symbolism.

Since embracing photography in 2012, Fabiana has participated in exhibitions and competitions in Italy and internationally. Today, she continues to fuse photography, illustration, and digital art into a distinctive visual language that invites viewers into upside-down realms where everything is possible.
