This Spiritsong deck is a melding of two traditions of divination: one in which animals are seen as guides between our world and the spirit world, and one that uses 78 cards as a tool to connect with our highest self. Each animal was specifically selected based upon Shamanic and Native American symbolism, merging each animal’s unique power with classic tarot practices. For example, the Spiritsong animal, Raven, has attributes such as ‘creation’ that parallels some of the same symbolic tarot attributes of the traditional Magician card, which is why the Raven is the animal representing that card.

The Spiritsong Tarot structure is based on the traditional tarot, containing the 22 Majors, the 56 Minors, and four suits: Acorns for Wands/Fire; Feathers for Swords/Air; Shells for Cups/Water; and Crystals for Pentacles/Earth.

Connected to the portals of higher worlds, the 78 Spiritsong animals are mentors of divine guidance. Bearing their own Shamanic powers, they’re forever open to providing their energy when called upon. They’re always available to help you attain your greatest spiritual potential. If you ask, they will provide guidance needed to assist you in finding the best remedy for any situation.

Paulina's world is filled with magical creatures born of intuition and imagination. The work she creates is a glimpse into realities that seem far away, yet are closer than they may seem. Having spent much of her time drawing from a young age, Paulina finds solace in creating and sharing her brew of whimsy. Her work has been collected worldwide for over 25 years.

"The pool of my creativity is blended from all things real, fantastical, emotional, and spiritual, and it draws energy from everything around. I never know when a new creation wants to be born, so I like to have a sketch book handy when I'm away from the drawing board."

Paulina creates her work mainly using watercolour and pen/ink. "My first love is line art; working with shadow and light using intuitive, organic, fine lines. I like to combine my pen & ink work and watercolour layer by layer, and my technique varies from piece to piece." She's long been inspired by the works of artists from the golden age of illustration such as Arthur Rackham, John Tenniel, Kay Nielsen, and Sulamith Wulfing.
