Yves Reynaud and Wilfried Houdouin launched Tarot of Marseilles Heritage to protect and promote the heritage of the traditional Marseilles Tarot.  They publish limited edition facsimiles of the most beautiful historical Tarots of Marseilles, housed in the most prestigious intuitions and private collections around the world.  Meticulous detail is  applied including respecting the size and the design on backs of the cards.  Some of these Tarots originate in the city of Marseilles. Others come from regions around Marseilles where the the graphic and symbolic qualities of these tarots flourished for centuries.

Wonderful Marseille deck.

This has become my favorite deck for many reasons, the art itself is unlike any other Marseille deck that I have seen, and I have searched far and wide. The art is unique in that a good deal more of each major arcana and court cards are shown, which explain important details. The colors are beautiful and clearly well thought out. But by far the detail that separates this deck from ALL other tarot decks is the card stock. Each card is sturdy and much thicker than your standard card, they have this lovely intentional feel that I could only describe as "buttery." The area around the boarders and the back of the cards have this lovely off white tone that is very pleasant.

My only complaints is that the deck is a bit larger than your standard deck, so a bit more challenging to shuffle, and the tuck box is of a low quality, which is strange being how much effort and quality went into the cards themselves.
