     Ellen Steiber

Steiber was raised in Newark and West Orange, New Jersey. She went to Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. When she finished college at Carnegie, Steiber moved to New York City where she worked for a Japanese trading company. She worked there for a couple years and eventually became a children's book writer.

Through the 1980s, Steiber lived in New York City. During this time period, she studied karate and had a wide social circle of artists and writers. Then in 1991, her lifelong dream of moving to the southwest was finally fulfilled. Ellen now lives in Tucson, Arizona with Doug, her partner.

Steiber's interests include: folk music, folklore, Mexican culture and border arts, classic children book illustrations, poetry, and many different types of fiction books.

LINDA RAVENSCROFT

Born in 1963, Linda Ravenscroft is a self-taught artist who has been painting since she was very young. Until recently, she lived with her husband John in the beautiful county of Cheshire, England. Since then, he has had the opportunity to follow one of his dreams, moving to the magical city of Glastonbury, "The Isle of Avalon" in Somerset. Where she and her husband John have just finished renovating an old Georgian bank, to create a magical house and the official space of Linda's gallery and studio, "The mystic garden gallery & Studio". Linda became a professional artist in 1994 after the birth of her son, Dorian, who immediately fell seriously ill. Linda was unable to return to her office work as planned; the only other thing he thought he could do to make a living while taking care of Dorian was to paint. Since then, his work has been widely published and has appeared in many Fantasy / Fairy Art books, such as "The Art of Faerie", "The World of Faerie" and "Watercolor Fairies". He has also illustrated and written numerous art books Tutorial Faerie, including the best-selling "How to draw and paint fairies", his "Enchanted Faerie and Fantasy Art of Linda Ravenscroft" and "The Fairy Artists Figure Drawing Bible", as well like his best-selling "Woodland Faeries calendars" and "The Msytic Faerie tarot deck" by Llewellyn Publishing. Linda's work is collected worldwide, particularly in the United States and Europe..
