Golden Tarot

Original Price $26.95
Current Price $22.91

Kat Black has created a sumptuous tarot deck using a sophisticated collage technique that brings new luster and meaning to the European masterpieces she has assembled for this special deck. Each painting been meticulously researched and chosen specifically for its divine evocations. While her deck remains true to the original Rider-Waite traditional symbolism, Kat Black offers accessible tarot interpretations that are fresh and welcoming. The cards are treated with gilt edges and are presented in a deluxe display box. The card backs’ repeating patterns are symmetric, allowing for reversed readings. Golden Tarot comes with an illustrated 198-page book, which provides discussions of the artwork, descriptions, and interpretations for both upright and reversed meanings. An appendix identifies the sources for the artwork incorporated into Golden Tarot.

I didnt expect to love this deck this much

I ended up liking this deck waaaaay better than I expected, and is all because of the illustrations! my Gosh! how beautiful, rich and detailed each card is! so much detail and most important than anything, the illustrations actually make sense! Some of these "Famous Painter/artist" inspired decks tend to make 2 mistakes, either they try to look for art and push it and force it into an arcana, even if it only has tiny relation with the arcana (meaning, oh! that woman is holding a glass or cup in any circumstance in this painting? I guess she is the queen of cups now!) or, they completely re-interpreted the entire R-W-S iconography in a way that shows more about the artist style than the actual cards' meanings, this is that is, very rare occasion where they get just right! The illustrations are BEAUTIFUL but most important, they are faithful to the cards' meanings which actually adds to them, love it!
